Establishment of a Crèche/Nursery School

The purpose of establishing District Six Seventh Day Adventist Church was essentially to fulfil the gospel commission of Matthew 24:14. One of the pillars of Adventism is education and as such the global church owns educational institutions at all levels of education in all continents. The introduction of a crèche/nursery school in the District Six area is in alignment with this vision of the church. This crèche/nursery school should be understood as a beginning of many more educational institutions to be introduced into District Six under the District Six Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Feeding and assisting of underpriveleged CPUT students.

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology which is situated in District Six predominately serves students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds. Most of its students are still disadvantaged and often they come to Cape Town without enough to go by. Their problems include lack of accommodation as the university cannot currently provide all its students with accommodationin its residences, food and toiletries. In partnership with the Adventist on campus students body SDASM, ARDRA and Meals on Wheels we are making efforts to alleviate some the challenges these underprevileged students face.
